Healthcare Assistants

Whether you’ve just finished an apprenticeship or enjoyed voluntary work and want to make it a career, being a Healthcare Assistant is the best place to start by nurturing skills for future roles within the industry.

Being a Healthcare Assistant will bring a varied workload mainly focused around making the service user feel at ease and as comfortable as possible. Other duties may include helping service users with rehab and aftercare in their own homes preventing hospital admissions or you could be in a clinical setting helping sterilise equipment and ensure our exemplary standards are followed.

To provide top quality care

Under the guidance of qualified nurses and therapists

Supporting patients attending clinics

Working in partnership with service users to ensure their privacy and dignity is respected and assist in promoting their health and wellbeing

Bank of knowledge

To maintain knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to deliver a quality service that is responsive to the changing needs of patients

Writing and digital competency

To provide clerical and administrative support to the team

Open line of communication

Being able to communicate effectively with service users, other clinical colleagues and closely liaising with senior team members is a big part of the role

Understanding of clinical standards

Knowledge of what it's like to work in a clinical setting and prior experience will set you up to build on a core set of skills to develop further through the industry
